Is the course approved?
Yes, the course is approved by the Tennessee
Board of Dentistry. It is considered an education course.
Therefore you do not receive continuing education credit.
What
is the difference between a basic education course and continuing
education? A basic education course
certifies you to perform duties delegated to you by the practice
act. Continuing education enhances the performance of what you
are already allowed to do.
Who is eligible?
Applicants must be registered dental assistants
in the State of Tennessee.
Where is the course held? The
course is held on the campus of Chattanooga State in Chattanooga,
TennesseeWho are the
instructors? The principle clinical
instructor is Dr. William Johnson, Founder of Dentedonline. Dr. Johnson will be assisted by
other licensed dental hygiene instructors.

How much does it cost?
$150
When do I have to Pay?
Payment is expected within 10 days after registering. Sorry, If
payment is not received in 10 days, we will have to offer the course
to someone on the waiting list.
What is your refund policy?
You will receive a full refund (minus a $25
processing fee) if you cancel at least 14 days before the course.
If you cancel less than 14 days before the course, you will receive a
50% refund.
How
do I register for the course? Simply go to the
registration page.
Do I have to take a test afterwards?
There is a written test taken the
day you take the course. If you pass, you will be issued a new
certificate from the Board of Dentistry with Sealant Application
certification added to your registration. Once you receive the
certificate, you are authorized to immediately begin applying sealants
if directed by the dentist.
Do I have to contact the Board of
Dentistry afterwards? No, we
will take care of that.
Do I need to bring anything to the course?
Yes, you will need to bring two extracted
posterior teeth with minimal decay or restorations, and clinic attire
including gloves, mask, safety glasses, and gown. We will
provide sealant material, but you may wish to bring the material you
use in your office.
Do I need to bring a patient?
All participants will be sealing a minimum of four teeth either on
another participant or on a patient that they bring. A dentist must verify the teeth are suitable for sealing. The
verification form will be sent to you before the course.
What will I learn?
After completing this course, you

control necessary when applying sealants, |
