Who should take this course?
This course is designed for the
individual who wants to learn more about the profession of dental
assisting. If you are not now registered with the State of
Tennessee as a dental assistant, we will help you with that process.

How is the course organized? The
course has a didactic portion and a clinical portion. Much of
the
didactic material will be provided online. After
you register and pay for the course, you will be able to "sign
in" and begin taking the online portion. a Go
to "see a sample" at the top of the page to get a feel for
the online portion.
What
is included in the course? Besides
basic dental assisting skills, the
course also includes training in radiology and nitrous
monitoring which qualifies you to become certified by the State of
Tennessee in those two functions.
Where will the clinical portion be held? The
clinical portion is held at different locations on
an "on demand" basis. You and your
instructor will arrange times to meet.
Who are the
instructors? The principle clinical
instructors are Dr. William Johnson, a dental educator with 18 years
of teaching experience, and Mary Ellen Vaughn, a
dental educator with 30 years of experience.

When is the course offered?
You can start the course any time. The "hands on"
portion is offered at different times. See "register"
above for those dates.
How much does it cost?
The fee for the course is $1200.
When do I have to Pay?
Payment is expected within 14 days after registering.
A place in the class will be secured as soon as payment is received.
However, payment plans can be arranged on an
individual basis.
What is your refund policy?
You will receive a full refund (minus a $100
processing fee) if you cancel within 7 days
of paying for the course.
You will receive a 50% refund f you cancel less than 30 days before
the course.
